Why choose cosmetic acupuncture over cosmetic surgery?
While not a replacement for surgery, cosmetic acupuncture is an excellent alternative. It is far less expensive and is safe, virtually painless, and recovery time takes a week or less. In comparison, cosmetic surgery takes months to recover, with swelling, discoloration and pain. There is no trauma from facial rejuvenation acupuncture. Treatment protocols are modified to suit individual patients. For example, it is possible to do face rejuvenation without the use of needles (although not as dynamic ) if someone is really needle phobic.
Does this really work?
Yes, unlike other treatments such as injections or laser hair removal, which dictate that higher dosages and strengths be used, acupuncture delivers the same strength treatment every time. With each treatment, you will see an improvement of your looks and the way you feel!
Are there any negative side effects?
Because acupuncture does not introduce foreign substances into the body, you will only experience positive results, such as radiant skin, more energy, a happier state and suppressed appetite. For those who bruise easily, a small amount of discoloration may result, which can easily be covered with makeup.
Can I come in only for a consultation?
Yes! There is no charge for a consultation and there is absolutely no obligation afterwards. In fact, you will greatly benefit from the time spent with Dr. Zheng to have your questions about acupuncture for health and fitness answered.
How long does the treatment take?
After the initial consultation, each treatment will take approximately two hours.
Can I get an acupuncture facelift after I have gotten Botox or collagen injections?
Yes, but you should consult with Dr. Zheng before scheduling Botox or collagen injections. For a fraction of the cost, acupuncture will eliminate the need for these injections.
Does it really make a difference?
Cosmetic acupuncture has been performed for thousands of years in China. As early as the Sung Dynasty (960AD – 1270AD) cosmetic acupuncture was performed on the Empress and Emperor`s concubines. For centuries, the Chinese have known that beauty radiates from the inside out. If the internal body is nourished and the energy and blood are flowing smoothly, the external body will reveal this radiance.
How long will the results last?
Acupuncture triggers the body to heal itself and to reverse the signs of aging, so results are long term. In order to retain the benefits of cosmetic acupuncture, a minimal number of maintenance treatments are recommended yearly.
